The Prayer Room

To God be the Glory! Praise the Lord for Good old days and Always!

I can still remember my College Days..studying Medical Technology and in Bible College at the same time.(That was late 80's and early 90's).
Yes, everyone has a hiding place, a quiet and peaceful place. Mine is the "Prayer Room". This particular Prayer room is not connected to the church building. It was connected to the Music building and from YFJ( Youth for Jesus) building in COP Bible College Building in Manila. You can imagine how many Christian students are praying, meditating, interceding and worshipping our GOD in their own time.

The "Prayer Room" has a blue carpet and there was printed verses everywhere on the wall, all Prayer Request, Prayer meeting and schedules from fellow Christians . Two verses standout to me as promises from God . And it is...

Jer.29:11-12"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you."
Jer.33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know".

I keep meditating that promises. Every Monday morning, I had to get up and gone to that "Prayer Room" sometimes it is empty or only few people during that day. Even during my Internship in hospitals a 24 hours duty a long working load ..I always headed directly to that "Prayer Room"..just loved to read the bible, it was so peaceful and in the midst of silence,the aura of the surrounding keeps me praying, singing, and praising God with all my heart. That "Prayer Room " is my hiding place but to the Lord.

But now, not anymore..here, where I am. I have no particular "Prayer Room". But I can make any place my "Prayer Room". In the beach, just lying down in the sand looking up in the sky.. well, that is my huge "Prayer Room". On top of the hills where I stop after jogging or walking, just sit there and have my open space as my "Prayer Room". When I walk the dog and stop , under the sun, under the trees there was my " Prayer Room".

Everywhere can be a "Prayer Room" !. As in the book of Jer.23:24 "Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?" declares the LORD. "Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?" declares the LORD." Our God is everywhere Psalm 19:4 and that is Great !. He is within us who believed in Him.

I am sure every Christians have their own "Prayer Room" to pour their hearts and soul to the Lord make it a hiding place but to the Lord.
