United in Prayer, Unlimited in Power As We Link to the Father

What two women did for Japanese patients.

Hi, everyone.

I live in Kumamoto and can introduce about it.

Today I'd like to share a story with you.

It's all about what two women did for Japanes patients.

Some of you might already know this story.

Hannah Riddell came to Japan in 1890 as a missionary from London.

One day she went out to see cherry blossom with Japanese friends in Honmyo temple.

There she saw many lepers gathered under the trees to beg for money.

Hannah was shoked at seeing them and never forgot that scene.

Later she decided to establish the hospital which is called "Kaishun Byoin" and took care of them.

She made effort to do that and I think it was harder than I imagine.

Her niece, Eda Write helped Hannah and took over the work after Hannah passed away.

The many patients converted in the hospital.

Both of them devoted all their lives to the Lord and Japanes lepers.

This story reminded me of Act 3:1-8.

Peter said to the lame " I have no money at all, but I give you what I have."

Hannah and Eda were of noble birth but they did not gave money but gave what they have.

That's an amazing story !

Please read it!

I visited the Memorial Hall and was very thankful to them.
