United in Prayer, Unlimited in Power As We Link to the Father

May 2009 Blog Posts (18)

Hi fellow brothers and sisters.

I am not sure how loud this news is internationally, or even on Japanese media.

My mother and I are grieving for the increase of the people who commit suicide daily in Japan.

In December 2008, it was 83 people committing suicide everyday, just within Japan. It is a significant number and we must not overlook this.

However, this month, it has increased even more, and 100 people daily commit suicide.

I am not here to… Continue

Be Encouraged

The Lord has placed on my heart to encourage you today. I do not know what you are facing or going through but there is one who knows all things and is with you in everything that you do. I pray that you are seeking God in all matters and I want you to know that friends, family, co-workers will come and go but He will not leave you nor forsake you.

So, as you go through your day today know that Jesus Christ is the way to the Father and that you can do ALL things through Christ who… Continue

Memorial Day

Psalm 116:15 (New King James Version) - "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints."

Several days ago, Gordon Tippett posted a eulogy for her friend Kathryn. I thought it's also appropriate to mention here some of those who passed away as a way to remember and honor them.

You probably have read the note I added entitled, "Prayer Alert!" It was originally sent by our sister in Canada, Susan Sanchez concerning Len, her… Continue

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I was reading TIME magazine this morning May 25, but this mags/ paper dated June 1, 2009.(I guess, the Time Magazine has advance publication date). Anyway, The feature in page 33 is timing for what Pastor Joseph has done in this website.

It was titled," Why some pastors are turning to "Microblogging" to bring congregants closer to God and one another"? And Pastor Todd Hahn from NC said "If God leads you to continue this as form of worship, and… Continue

Father's Amazing Wisdom

Dear Father's Children:

Have you ever been hurt by another person and could not get the sorrow and sick feeling in the pit of your stomach to go away? When crises like these hit us, the thoughts and feelings seem always to haunt our minds and won't go away? How can we be free of this?

Paul cried out these words in Romans 7:24-"Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? And then he exclaims in praise in verse 25: "Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our… Continue

Flu Scare

KYOTO CITY, Friday (22 May 2009) - Government and school authorities here have declared a week-long holiday to minimize the spread of the new flu virus that was detected in a 10-year old boy. It is Kyoto's first reported case of the H1N1 virus.

It's rainy today and the kids are at home. The kids are excited to be home, but my wife and I are thinking to keep their days occupied, productive and fun. I already heard the word "bored" three hours after they wake up.:) Think of five more… Continue

Reading blogs

Dear friends:

I was talking to a friend and asked him if he saw my blog Father's Amazing Grace. He said he only saw my second blog that I posted the same time. Because blogs stack one on top of the other with the latest on top it is easy to assume that only the top blog of the same person has not been read. Please don't miss the sharing blogs I believe the Holy Spirit is asking me to write. For all the blogs by everyone, we need to look at the time they were posted so we don't miss a blog… Continue

Ministry update

Dear Japan Prayer link Partners,

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

It is springtime here in Kobe! We have seen Japan at its best for about ten days of April...when cherry trees blossomed! Families got together under such beautiful scenery. After that, streets and rivers were filled with pink petals as they fall off! What a sight to see!

Family matters....We are together here as a family...with Yohan and Yael with us for their… Continue

The Prayer Room

To God be the Glory! Praise the Lord for Good old days and Always!

I can still remember my College Days..studying Medical Technology and in Bible College at the same time.(That was late 80's and early 90's).

Yes, everyone has a hiding place, a quiet and peaceful place. Mine is the "Prayer Room". This particular Prayer room is not connected to the church building. It was connected to the Music building and from YFJ( Youth for Jesus) building in COP Bible College Building in… Continue

In Mourning

Dear Father's Children:

My counsellor, mentor, and friend went to be with Jesus last Friday morning in her sleep. There is a throne and many crowns in Heaven for this precious old saint who walked close to Jesus everyday and fasted and prayed regularly. Kathryn Creed and her late husband, Julian, were missionaries to Japan in the 1990s. She loved Japan and prayed for you all. I miss her much. We had conversations by phone every other day. She knew many of your names and loved to hear the… Continue

Father's Amazing Grace

Dear Father's Children:

Neil T. Anderson, author of The Bondage Breakers, said that our feelings follow our thoughts. If I wake up in the morning knowing that I am going to lose my job that day I will feel sad and worried. However, if I wake up knowing that I am going to get a raise, I will feel happy. Therefore, if we control our thoughts, we can manage our emotions. Now there are times of course when this is more difficult like when you lose a loved one; however, in our normal lives of… Continue

I actually have another website where I blog regularly (reminiscing-all.blogspot.com). However most of my post are about my daily life as I walk with God to eternity. I will try to write what I think and feel about Japan as I starts praying for Japan.

As an introduction, once I prayed and asked God for a place where I should go for a mission trip (without mentioning if it should be a short, mid or long term mission… Continue

Regaining Momentum

"To God be the glory for the things He has done!"

This year, my family will mark our 8th year of ministry in Japan and our third year in Kyoto City. Time flies so fast indeed.

Our ministry is getting extended since we received our new missionary visa last Wednesday (May 13th), on the same date as my spiritual birthday. Speaking of my spiritual birthday (being born again), I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ through the Vacation Bible School (VBS) that I attended in my… Continue

Thank you

Dear Father's children:

I want to give a praise report to Father and thank you my friends. Father has supplied me with so many Japanese teachers it is difficult to keep count. I know that most of my difficulty in adjusting to Japan has been not knowing the language. But God is faithful to supply so many beautiful people that want to help. I want to say a special thank you to Naoko san for the hours that she worked with me. She has such a heart to help with God's work. Also, thank you to… Continue

Father's Amazing Peace

Dear Father's children:

One of the most beautiful gifts that Father as given us is His Peace. In John 14:27, Our Lord Jesus told the disciples, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid." Immediately after Jesus promised us His peace to give to us stability and rest in our hearts, He warns us not to be troubled and not to fear. Why? Because His peace is fragile in our hearts and easily… Continue

My trip to Japan

I just returned from my best trip to Japan where I had fellowship with Pastor Joseph, missionaries and other members of the church. We had a wonderful time of preaching, teaching and one-on-one fellowship and ministry.

Every time I come to Japan my eyes are opened more and more to the needs of my brothers and sisters in Christ and to the multitudes that are yet lost. It makes me pray even more with my mouth as well as with my heart to cry out to God, have mercy. I ask Him what can I… Continue

Father's Amazing Love

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Hallelujah. Oh there is so much love in that statement. Our God, the One and Only Creator God, because there could only be one Creator, created us out of His love, for His love, and to have objects to love. In Proverbs 8:30-31, the writer is personifying Wisdom, which is Jesus Christ and Wisdom (Christ) is speaking about the time when He was with Father as Father created us. Wisdom (Christ) says that 30 "Then I was beside Him (Father,… Continue
