Japan Prayer Link

United in Prayer, Unlimited in Power As We Link to the Father

Dear one and all:

How are you today? I hope that you are fine.

I am sending you this message to let you know that our host for this site is starting a new policy that affects us all: starting in July, Ning.com will make this service available for a FEE. The developers have made their intention public as can be seen on the topmost line when you open your account or personal site.

How do we respond to this change? I would like to know your thoughts on this. Please either write a blog message or make your ideas known in the "Forum". I am particularly interested to know if you would like to maintain your account with JPL and to make sure to update it as often as possible. Hence, we might consider the option to raise funds to pay for the service. Otherwise, just like any other initiatives, it may have reached already its natural end and  we may decide to dissolve JPL altogether.

At any rate, I would like to personally thank all of you who have made the Japan Prayer Link a platform for prayer, maintaining contact with your friends and family, letting us have a glimpse of your personal life through photos and videos, and for sharing your experiences with the Lord to encourage the rest of us as we read what you have written here.

"And in everything you do, do it all for the glory of GOD!" Yes. And, for this site too!

Thank you for your continued prayers for Japan and for us.

I suggest we transfer the group to a Facebook group - as that is free. I expect we would need to join again but that is not so difficult.
Thanks, Henrietta. That is one option now.
Hi Pastor Joseph. What about Hi5? Maybe less popular so it's more manageable? I feel more safe to have a webpage that is not facebook. I have many friends on facebook who are not christians. This page we share is not for an evangelistic purpose, but for us to share thoughts and pray for each other. I appreciated the fact that almost everyone believes in Jesus and they understand where I am coming from, when I share my thoughts and concerns. It'll be good if it's continue to be that way. That's just my opinion.
Thanks, Mami-san. Would you help me develop a new site for JPL? I am just spooked by the idea that some sites offer services for free at first and then when things get really well, they begin imposing fees like this one.:(

I see Pastor Joseph, I'm not too familiar with social network services websites....I think Trey might know it well? I'm not sure how I can help... Hi5 is this one. http://hi5.com/friend/displayHomePage.do It used to be popular before facebook became very popular. I'm not sure they have blog contents though...
Thanks, Mami-san!
Hi, Pastor Joseph!
I'd like to keep a communication place like here.
But If you transfer this group to anywhere else, I hope it would be safe one because we deel with personal issues and photos.
I don't want let them be seen by many people whom we don't know.

I think we should keep it free. This is my opinion.
Thanks for your comment, Nao-kun. Meantime, we still have JPL with the same address. You may keep posting your thoughts, insights and photos here.
